Trocadero. This is one of several I’ve featured (or will feature) that is no longer with us. After 16 years of operation, this popular brunch spot and gastro pub closed its doors in 2017. It used to be one of my go-to’s for bloodies and good food. The building that Trocadero occupied (now DiMota Pizza) is classic Milwaukee. Late 1800’s cream city brick, corner construction.... Perfect for a bar. From what I can find online, it was originally a Schlitz Brewing Co. Building. Somewhere along the way it was a spot called Little Caesar’s Cocktail Lounge, and then a bar called “Under The Bridge” (which sounds like my kind of joint). But if you know me, I’m a sucker for old industrial buildings and large scale marquee signs. And this one is a classic. 👌
