Irpinia Brand Identity

Back in 2019 I got the opportunity to design a visual identity for “Irpinia”, land of tradition, history and mystery. The visual research pushed me between Irpinia and Sannio’s territories, that are strongly devoted to wine production and oil tradition.

For the first time I came across the "Triplice Cinta" sign, a stone engraving that dates back to the beginning of time and which represents both the pattern of a famous game, later known as fillet or backgammon, and a strong symbolic incidence as evidenced by its presence in sacred places, ancient buildings, stairways in historic centers.

Its stylization, coupled with the typographic choice of the Optima, is a tribute to the amanuensis tradition of Etruria and Campania Etruria.
