I wanted to highlight a Women-owned Saint Louis brand- She Votes initiative

The women behind local favorites Golden Gems, Joya, and 2Lu, have joined forces in a movement to empower women’s voices at the polls.

The She Votes initiative provides resources and important information about the voting process, opportunities for people to register to vote throughout the Saint Louis area, and will assist voters with casting their ballots this November and beyond.

Here's a checklist to prepare to vote by mail:

- Start today. Give yourself and your election officials ample time to complete the process.
- Rules and dates vary by state so contact your election board to confirm. Find Links at usps.com/votinginfo
- Request your mail-in ballot (often called absentee ballot) at least 15 days before Election day.
- Once received, follow the instructions period add postage to the return envelope if needed.
