Passion Project ✨ Kokeshi Candles branding

A few years ago, in 2016, I created a set of illustrations inspired by Japanese Kokeshi dolls. Kokeshi dolls are simple, wooden dolls created for kids and are recognizable by their simple shape. I love Japanese culture and design (especially ‘kawaii’ (cute) design) and decided to revisit these old illustrations and create something new ✨

My original four where inspired by the seasons, and since I long for Autumn in this everlasting Summer, I stuck to that theme 🍂 I redraw the dolls, made them more simple, and added playful patterns for each of the seasons.

While working on the patterns I though these dolls would be great on packaging, so I decided to crate a brand as well. Since I love scented candles I decided to give those a go: stay tuned for more! 🕯️
