Vector VHS Covers

Growing up in the early 2000s, my house was littered with VHS tapes full of cable-rips of TV shows and movies. I've always been a huge fan of the art style back then, so a few years ago I had a thought – how hard would those covers be to make with the tech we have today?

As I found out, pretty challenging. Over the past few years I've been converting random VHS covers to full vector images by hand, using a combination of gradients, gaussian blurs, noise generators, tracing, font detection, posterizing, and more.
