Ministers of Reconciliation
For this book on reconciliation, I was hoping to find a concept that would help show the diverse church coming together to make something new—interacting and recombining into something beautiful. It reminds me of the comparison between the "melting pot" of America, versus the "mosaic" of Canada.
I saw a post from Ellen Rutt on Instagram where she took a single piece of paper, then cut it into shapes and rearranged it into a new collage. In the same spirit, I took a piece of paper, this time in the shape of a cross, and started slicing new shapes from it. I composed it on my kitchen table, then snapped a picture so I could recreate it in PS. The recomposed cross is on the next shot, and will be featured prominently on the back cover. I love how the concept came together, and I really enjoyed the process.
