The process

Tried packaging design today. The aim was to run with the ticking clock and finish up the task of learning about branding, brand identity. Also to make compositions and come up with the brand language. Slicing and dicing all-around brand value and coming up with tempting visuals at the end. I invested a total of 4 pomodoros to do this. Tried to push the limits of PFC in an interesting way.
Idea was to design a packaging for a juice brand. To ideate, a brand, scratch the surface of typography, minimalistic design, and color theory and applying my key learnings into visuals.
I tried to touch upon branding too. Brainstormed around a few points as an anchor to actually cultivate the idea inside before converting it into pixels. Mentioning some points which I thought I should be taking care of while doing this,
- What is the mission
- What are the benefits and features of your product
- What qualities you want to showcase through branding
- How to drive system 1 of the customer towards your goal
- To show the nuances and intricacies of your product through simple words and brand name
- Thinking about the traits of the brand
- Creating a unique brand identity is important to know the customer your idea. Your uniqueness shows the intention and yet how much you are taking care of the customer. The originality will help to generate the oxytocin inside the customer.
- Visual perception would play an important role as the customer will be seeing colors and typography at first glance at your product. So visually almost 90% intent should be conveyed to the customer
- Brand typography is important to establish your brand and feels around your customer. To have that vibe around for that product in a very unique way, to have that sense of achievement. Love at first sight.
