The Umuko Project

The Umuko Project was created as a platform to empower widows of conflict in Rwanda who create beautiful artisanal goods.

The logo was created based on the Umuko tree, a species native to Rwanda. something peculiar about this tree is that its flowers only bloom after the leafs have died. Perhaps metaphor for the Rwandan Widows who strive to create beauty after enduring unimaginable loss
