Tripadvisor - Community Questions

Last August 2019 I had the pleasure of helping a new division of Tripadvisor, led by Lindsay Nelson, to completely rebuild and unify their services.

At Metalab, Jordan Amblin and I were tasked with creating immediate shorter term improvements, specifically onboarding, personalization, and saves.

Community questions create a new way for Tripadvisor to learn about user preferences, while also offering its users insight from the community. An approach focused on aggregate data collection as opposed to user-specific. As well as a feature they could implement immediately within the feed without affecting the wider experience.
