COVID-19 and Paper Towels - A Poster Campaign

It's the year 2020, a year that has brought the world a lot of unprecedented and difficult experiences. During the pandemic, one phenomenon that occurred across the world was one of panic buying and hoarding. One of the items that was hoarded in excess, absurdly, was toilet paper and paper towels. Why did this happen? Because of the pandemic, we find ourselves lacking control over our futures. Stocking up on something so essential to our daily lives, oddly brings us the feeling of control, even though there is no imminent threat to the supply of toilet paper.

This has hampered lives of a lot of people - people who cannot afford to buy in bulk have been left grappling for supplies, brawls have ensued in supermarkets. Could this have been avoided? I believe the media had an important role to play here. Could responsible reporting and non-sensational headlines and news articles have induced less panic in people?

This project is an attempt at the same - an attempt to reduce panic by stating helpful facts, thereby challenging the perceived dearth of supplies.
