Twist - Venue Booking App
Twist is a Venue Booking Application with a wide range of venues and services.
Problem
Event planning is not an easy job. It’s fraught with challenges and high-stress situations and can involve budget management, a massive checklist of tasks to be completed and finding the right venue, activities and decorations.
Goal
The purpose of this UX study was to create a digital product for users who need to organise birthday and explore opportunities to streamline this long process to make it more effective and efficient.
Solution
I followed a human-centred design process with a focus on quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis to get design insights.
Specifically, I used user interviews, surveys and affinity diagram to capture insights about users’ behaviours. I narrowed down features ideas to solve the user’s pain points, and I used the Value vs Complexity Quadrants to prioritise the ideas.
I then followed a design and feedback cycle to create the user experience for the end-users, where each iteration was validated and improved on by usability testing.
After running several usability testings and analysing the data, I identified some opportunities for improvement that led to a 62% reduction in the drop off rate and an 84% reduction in misclick rate. This design validated my hypothesis that the most effective value proposition is the one that is centred around the users.
