Populi Mark

A logo should be able to hold a story, not tell the story. It's very tempting to try and do too much, so I place a high emphasis on showing, not telling.

There's a concept in filmmaking that instead of giving the audience the number 4, give them 2+2. Let them put the pieces together—that's where the intrigue lies!

So this is a logo for company called Populi. They make college management software. One of their big differences is that they're an all-in-one provider of many things a college might need. So instead of a school buying a separate SIS, LMS, CRM, etc... and trying to piece it together themselves with an IT team, they can just get Populi and outsource that headache.

We wanted the logo to be able to hold that story! It's an all-in-one solution (7 elements coming together), and you can see depending on how you look at it, it's either an abstract "P" or a user icon. I've also heard a few folks say they see students sitting at desks.
