Design for Humans, Design for the Planet

Nowadays, as digital designers, we have to think not only about a beautiful form or functionality, but we also have to take into account the future and the impact that our work has on our home – planet Earth.

Did you know that the Internet “produces” 830 million tons of CO2 a year, which is more than the aviation industry (2% of global emissions)?

It is a challenge for designers to incorporate the principles of sustainable development into every project and to change the consumers’ behavior for the better, but also to offer digital services that they can be proud of, knowing that they are helping reduce our negative impact on the environment.

Here are the illustrations we created to visualize the content of the article “Design for Humans, Design for the Planet” written by SYZYGY Warsaw Head of Design, Mateusz Karasiński. You can read the whole article here .
