Motion Designers Europe
I love being part of creative communities. I love Slack. I love creative communities on Slack. I am part of two motion design Slack groups at the moment and I am enjoying the community immensely. I love the share culture of information, knowledge, jobs and general advice.
One thing I have noticed though, being part of these two motion design Slacks, is that the majority of the members are north american locals, if not people in the US. Which means some of the advice, pricing or contractual, is based on laws and customs in the US. I often feel left out or that the info doesn't apply to me.
Being the host of the Motion Graphics and Animation Meet-Up here in Munich, I am already used to gathering people and bringing a local community together. This is why I have decided to start a new Slack group. One for Motion Designers in Europe. If you are a motion designer, animator or otherwise creative within the motion design industry in Europe and would like to be part of this community, send me a DM and I'll invite you!
In the past two live streams I have designed and animated a logo for this Slack group, which is what you are looking at right now. It is a very quick and fun project, which I didn't want to complicate too much. The main thought behind it is to bring like-minded and geographically close creatives together.
