Bitwyre Brand System
There’s way more to a good visual identity than just a pretty logo. Every single visual asset a company uses either supports or undermines the consistency of a brand and the way it speaks to its audience.
Bitwyre, a promising cryptocurrency exchange, approached me for illustrations. It quickly became clear that what Bitwyre needs is a more comprehensive approach. As a relatively early stage business, they had the advantage of being able to start building the brand from the most basic elements, without overriding past design decisions.
One thing they already came with brand-wise was the B shape of the logo and insisted on preserving it. (See the before picture.) I vectorised it and applied vibrant colours to help the company stand out in its natural online environment. The gradient also creates a 3d illusion and makes the logo more unique, yet trendy. The colours work on both dark and light backgrounds. I simultaneously picked the brand colours, colours to be used within Bitwyre’s design system established in Figma and colours of illustrations. This results in a very robust and consistent colour palette across the brand.
Bitwyre’s brand demonstrates even in details like icons to go with specific bits of text, buttons, and cards. Every detail contributes to transmitting the message about the sophisticated, futuristic, and technology-driven nature of Bitwyre.
