Harvest App Mockup

This project was designed to help people who are struggling with managing their spending and maintaining financial growth and it is called ‘Harvest.’ The goal behind this app is to help people track spending and make sure that they follow their budget. The goal is to allow them to be able to manage the various credit and debit cards they use and see what they have used them to buy all in the same place; along with being able to send money to and request money from other people. The logo's unique silhouette and simple design are meant to relate plant growth to financial growth. You can find the user persona here.

The Problem Space

Your financial health is important. The issue is most people find it difficult to understand and end up ignoring it rather than trying to properly manage it. This project intends to make managing your budgets and the cards you use easier.

The Target Audience

The target audience for this project is people in their early to mid-twenties. These would be people who have recently graduated from college and have either recently gotten, or are looking for, a job. They will have new responsibilities and will need to manage their finances well in order to maintain their financial health.

User Research

Saving money is an important part of life and this app is designed to make it easy for people, especially people just out of college, to do. The people who this app would be best suited for are people who would like finances and spending to be simplified for them. People who are young and need help getting started as they transition from being students to entering their professional careers.

The Solution

The response that I came up with was an app that allowed users to keep track of their daily, weekly and monthly spending. It also allows them to set a budget and add credit or debit cards. This will allow them to keep track of how they are spending in various locations, such as supermarkets or online e-commerce sites.
