Sketch of the day #53

I'm terrible at people, specifically faces. I did a lot of life drawing at school (and am going to try it again soon, hoorah!) but I always found faces really hard.

So I'm embracing being bad at it, and trying to improve. I'm moving on from wildlife for a while to do more studies of faces. Starting with my own (as I can easily get reference shots!)

This isn't quite right, the proportions of my nose and lips are off, and are slightly too high-up. I think it might also be too wide from ear to nose. I think more profile tomorrow to try to improve it!
