Good' afternoon Dribbblers π
This is my #055 #DailyUI design. πβ¨β€οΈ
Design Hint π»
No design hint today... π Where are these disappearing off to? π
The Idea π‘
The idea for todays UI design is simply a set of random generalist icons. I'm not sure what type of design I'm going to go for (today is an experiment of sorts), but I do know that the design of the icons will consist of a monochromatic 'tan' colour palette. I also don't know what icons I'm going to design, I could end up creating a brand new one, who knows.
Final Thoughts π§
I like them! I took inspiration from various other popular icon sets from around the wide web and then created my own unique versions of some of the most well-known actual icon 'shapes' from around the world, including the famous 'alarm', 'notification bell', 'lock', 'message', 'settings', 'like', 'user', and 'image' shapes.
Once I finished my first icon out of the eight, which was the 'user', I had my general aesthetic down to complete for the rest of the icons. What I went for for the aesthetic was a primary 'line' icon as a base, while two separate thicker accent lines sat underneath scattered about appropriately. After I had designed the line part of the design, I decided to add a circle with an inverted colour direction to add some more uniqueness to the overall design. For the rest of the seven icons, I kept with the consistency of the user icon I had created, a primary line, two thicker lines and an inverted circle.
Overall, it's been an extremely chill day of designing my set of 8 random icons. It was a big experiment to see wat I could come up with at the start, I designed something I liked and so continued to complete the set. I love what I've achieved today!
