Wish Design Principles
Last fall, our design team came together for a summit to draft our company’s first set of design principles. We asked ourselves what was uniquely Wish, what we wanted Wish to become, and what aspects of the company we would work conscientiously to improve.
Along with pondering these questions, we reviewed operational principles from thought leaders, artists, and iconic companies from around the world to inspire our brainstorm. We went wide, then deep. After we gathered to discuss all our authentic thoughts, we voted on the insights that most resonated with us, and counted up all the individual mentions of various concepts and values.
The team’s input was foundational to the framing and constitution of these principles. Then through multiple rounds of writing and editing, we finalized the principles and descriptions shown here.
These principles have served as a guiding light for our team and an expression of our vision of how we can influence our company, our community of users, and the greater world around us.
