BOSSA NOVA ALBUM COVER

Album cover for a Bossa Nova record, the client wanted a very colorful, bright cover that would illustrate some typical aspects of Rio de Janeiro.

I decided to get inspiration from Tropicalismo art movement, that mixes figurative with abstract, soft geometric elements. Instead of grabbing the typical wavy striped floor, I opted for another very typical motif of the streets of Rio, and made it big as a window frame., showing the typical view of Corcovado, the ocean and the Christ, in a more abstract/distorted way.
