Daily Logo Challenge | Day 15 - Hand Lettering

Day 15 of the #DailyLogoChallenge. Oh this one was tough. ⁣ ⁣ It was a combination of the a new style of handlettering and just an overall busy day. Handlettering most definitely isn't my fortay but this project is all about learning so I was happy to dive in, even if the results aren't something I'm 100% happy with. ⁣ ⁣ With a few more revisions - and closer attention paid to the baseline slowly creeping up - I reckon I could have this looking much more polished. ⁣ ⁣ So about the subject matter. If you're not from Ireland, direct provision is an institutional disgrace where asylum seekers are housed in dire conditions for years on end. ⁣ ⁣ Think cramped conditions with limited, if any, ability to cook for yourself; along with an absolute pitance of spending money per week (only in 2018 were people in direct provision allowed to work). ⁣ ⁣ As with so many terrible things in the world, certain people are profiting from all this misery and it should have been stopped years ago. To make the whole thing worse, they're also a hotspot for the spread of COVID 19.
