I Don't Like that Book

There's this book I read my daughter which makes her a little sad. It sort of goes like this...

Once upon a time there was a Lion who took care of a small, injured bird over a cold winter. During this time they spent a lot of time together playing, reading and resting.

Eventually winter passes and the bird flies back to its family leaving the lion by himself. Alone.

The end.

...Except, not really. The bird actually comes back but by this point, she's just a little too upset to process it.

Oh and the book is called "The Lion and the Bird" if you're interested. And she actually does like it.
