TrackMeow
About three years ago, I was studying graphic design at the College of DuPage. I took a few web design classes there and one of the assignments was to come up with a design for a mobile app. I did some research on what mobile apps were out there and I came across some tracking applications. Next, I started to think about what can be tracked, like time, how many steps I've taken, and then, it occurred to me that people are able to track their pets with a microchip or a collar with a GPS device.
I have two indoor cats, Emma and Toby. Toby has gotten out before and I had no way of tracking him, but I could have if I had a tracking device or mobile app for cats. I decided that I was going to design a mobile app that would enable cat owners to track and help others locate their cats. I came up with the name, TrackMeow, because I thought it was a fun play on words of "now" and "meow".
I really enjoyed my first design, but I wanted to give myself a challenge by redesigning it in order to make it crisp, clean, and visually appealing.
