Train

Driving south through Idaho in August I had to pull over because my car started overheating. As I got out praying she would make it back to Utah under her own power, I looked to the East and was stunned.

A Union Pacific train slowly chugged through the summer heat in front of vast farmlands. Towering behind them were the Grand Tetons. Topping out at 13,770 ft, these jagged mountains were jaw dropping to see even all the way from Idaho.

Inspired, I knew I had to create this illustration and vowed to explore the Tetons on snowboard come winter. Luckily I was able to make it back to Utah that day and get my car into a shop for much needed repair.
