Unplastic - Social Campaign
Unplastic The Planet is a campaign to educate people about the plastic waste having adverse effects on the city, country, continent and planet. The severe increase of plastic waste generation in the country is a major concern and we all should strive to bring a change by changing our lifestyles, making the right choices, and having an open mind about different possibilities for everything we do. The invention of plastic was good, but is it really good with where it is going now? Ask yourself!
Everything that we see around, more than half of it is made out of plastic. But some plastics are ending up in oceans, seas and our food chain which we are not aware of, having adverse effects on human, animal and marine life. It takes upto 400 years for some plastic items to decompose. India generates 25,960 tonnes of plastic every single day (about 85 Boeings(747-8)). 60% of this waste is getting recycled but the remaining 40% is not even collected and is filling our lands, oceans, seas and rivers. This would not only affect our planet but also have serious issues for the upcoming generations.
In order to bring a change, we need to act accordingly together.
It is you who can save the planet from drowning in plastic.
