Self portrait illustration

I've been making an effort to draw something quickly each day after work to get over some of that creative block/fear around having to make something perfect. There's so much inspiration out there for art and design and most of the time it's a great thing, but I catch myself going down rabbit holes of inspiration/trying to recreate other artists' style, and sometimes the fear of not doing it well stops me from creating something altogether. So for this one, I made myself jump right in without any kind of inspiration or direct reference (just split screen with a photo of myself for the first 10 mins)... and I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. It's still somewhat messy – but instead of spending hours trying to perfect it before I feel comfortable sharing it with anyone – I'm just closing my eyes and pressing the publish button. f*ck it.
