Geisha Girl

I took a printmaking class at my community college back in fall 2018. My first project involved creating an relief print (in which material is carved or taken away from around the protruding design that is to be printed so that only the design appears) using linocut. While desperately looking all over my house for inspiration, I came across a little ceramic doll of a geisha and thought that it could be an interesting subject for a relief print. I used both Photoshop and Illustrator to digitalize my physical print and smooth out any jagged lines and edges that my original print had.
