Kitsune Mask
I picked up an iPad and apple pencil after a few weeks into the quarantine, and this Kitsune Mask was the first thing I digitally painted in the Procreate app. I love how fast and easy it is to render out the simple sketch into a final illustration. A Kitsune is a type of yōkai found in Japanese folklore, often depicted as a shapeshifter. They are known to be loyal guardians, protectors, and, at times, a trickster. I love yōkai and other occult folklore, its always been an inspiration for my art and illustration. I often paint with spray paint, so I used brushes that emulate spray painting in Procreate.
