IPOA Book Cover & Promotional Material

The project started with a rough layout design, which led into artwork development for the background image. It was created using various techniques; mostly by photo-manipulating two photographs: the seafloor, and the underwater view of the sea level – as the base of the image; followed by perspective and colour correction, as well as the addition of lighting and particles.

For the background I had to come up with something evoking the state of inner peace, and ocean seemed like the best choice, given how quickly it can change from volatile on the surface, to quite peaceful and quiet the deeper it goes. Because of the scale however, I had to settle for relatively shallow sea waters, hopefully conveying the same idea.
