This animation was created for a local canned cocktail brand’s Instagram page.
When the idea of creating cheersing cans came to mind, I originally was going to do this as one image. I thought more about it and decided that this was an opportunity to bring in more of an interactive element. This post then ended up being two images, posted back-to-back. If the entire Instagram page was viewed, these cans would be shown “clinking” together. If a viewer saw one of the cans cheersing on their newsfeed, it may prompt them to click into the Waterbird page to see what / who it’s cheersing with. This aspect of the two animations make it a good option for a paid ad campaign. If it were a paid campaign, it could be interesting to challenge the audience to find friends with the complimentary image, so that they could cheers to Waterbird Spirits together.
