Embaré Logo

This logo was developed as part of a class assignment in college. The challenge was to represent some of the neighborhoods of Santos - SP, the city where the institute is located and my homecity.

I wanted to represent the history of Embaré, the neighborhood that began with small residential features, now hidden by the big (and crooked) buildings facing the beach. I also wanted to include the Basilica of St. Anthony, a gorgeous neo-Gothic style church and the statue of St Anthony found right in front of it.

The colors were chosen to symbolize the movement and life of the neighborhood, a reflection of it's variety of services, commerce and entertainment. What do you think?
