Enterprise Operations Tool Redesign

For any tool that collects and displays data, helping users sift through the noise and find relevant information is key. The complexity in the infrastructure space means that our users have to deal with a lot of different types of data on different types of infrastructure objects.

Often times, this information is spread out in multiple pages and even in multiple products.

As we design a lighter version of our operations tool, we’re excited about the UI refresh, but we’re more excited about transforming the architecture of our product to better match our users’ natural mental models.

We’re thinking about what kinds of data are the most helpful to surface to users. How do we help them recognize patterns and easily find other interesting information outside the given scope they’re investigating? How do we make sure handling the heavy lifting of processing the data and surfacing them only valuable insights with machine learning?
