Live in Love
This was a fun project inspired by Eddie Lobanovskiy's Flip Flop animation
! It took a long time to make sure the L, V, E letters moved smoothly alongside the 3D effect (X, Y, Z Rotation) on the O.
Process:
All the letters were created on Adobe Illustrator and then exported as individual layers. I imported the layers into After Effects and then converted them into shapes. I added an extrusion (Geometry Options> Extrusion Depth) onto the O for a 3D effect. The rest of the letters: L, V, E remained 2D and I created key frames on specific positions to create the movement between each letter. To make the 3D effect on the O more noticeable, I added a Parallel Spot Light Layer with increased intensity whenever it was rotating (intensity was set at 0 for 2D positions). I also ended up applying a shadow to the overall animation (learned from doing the Anthey text animation a few posts back)!
