The Medieval Elephant

I made a series of animated loops inspired by drawings of medieval bestiaries. If you don't know what a bestiary is, it's basically an encyclopedia of animals popular in the Middle Ages. Many of these authors were not going for scientific accuracy, but rather used these books to tell tall tales and share Christian allegories. Elephants in bestiaries were so large, a castle could fit on their backs. They also didn't have knees, and not only had long trunks but also long necks, legs, and tails.
