Daily Logo Challenge | Day 05 - Driverless Car Logo

Day 5. This took a little longer than expected. Today’s brief was to design a logo for a driverless car company and the options were ‘Autonome’, ’Vrooom’, and my choice, ‘Onward’.

I’m not sure if it was intentional but there are a lot of O’s in those names. I imagine they’re expecting people to use them for car wheels. Well, either way, I wanted to stay away from something that obvious. I also wanted to avoid going too eco or green with the color scheme.

The initial rough version came together fairly quickly but getting the little details correct took some time. The letter spacing, the amount of roundness to give each letter, where the arrowhead should sit, how large & curved should the lidar beams be. It all added up but overall I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
