Gardenia Monogram

Vintage-inspired framed monogram born from sketching a single Gardenia flower to use for a pattern. The composition lended itself better to a circular pattern and naturally took shape as a frame. The finished frame seemed fitting for a monogram and a strong font was chosen to contrast the feminine character of the floral illustration work and really ground the focal point without distracting from the more delicate illustration work.
