Raccoons

I wouldn't be surprised if you'd refer to raccoons as "trash pandas", as they have the same dark markings around their eyes, and the ones residing in urban areas may be seen rumaging the bins. However, I've always known them as "washing bears", because they tend to play in water. Scientists believe they that raccoons have very sensitive hands, which are more sensitive in water. In the wild they also tend to find their food in rivers and water ways, which has led people to believe they tend to wash their food.
