The whole picture of Qurbani/Sacrifice is the remarkable illustration of unconditional love and commitment .
This sacrifice is an entire act of devotion toward Allah SWT but over time many has came afar from the purpose and do it for showing off their wealth and power. They help the destitute by distributing the meat which is an important factor while completely deviating from the main thing called love towards the animal. They often disregard empathy and compassion towards the animals and focus solely on the feast ahead.

The whole purpose is to build a connection that is made with the particular animal during this period and thus sacrificing something of our own for the sake of The Creator.
This process strengthens the bond between The Creator and the creation.
