Prior Art logo & merch

Logo & merch design for Prior Art (soundcloud.com/priorart⁣), a music production and publishing company.

The brief was to create a logo where the P and A interacted in some way. We worked closely with the client and came up with the concept of the P and A working as sound waves interacting with each other. A major challenge was to maintain the symmetry while keeping the letters looking like themselves, the A looked like a Q and the P looked like a D in a lot of our tests.

Futura Black gives the logo a retro-futuristic look, which reflects the kind of tunes you can expect from Prior Art.
