Billy Goat

A scrapped emblem logo design for my freelance work. I'm always reminded of goats whenever I brand my name "Billy" with anything. I ended up not using it in case the animal connection didn't flow well with freelance design and photography advertising.

I kept the same color scheme of contrasting cyan and magenta in a smooth gradient over a mass of white space. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with a linear, geometric drawing with a modernist aesthetic, chiseled and polygonal. The thin lines showed up well only on some of the media I used it on, whereas others would pixelate or lose definition in places entirely.

Visually, I loved this version of my logo, but functionally, I had to move on.
