Commissioned illustration for staff uniforms in Jam’s Karaoke & Bar in Newcastle, Australia. Jam's offers authentic Japanese Karaoke experience with Izakaya bites and enough drinks to keep locals entertained.
✅ Why 🐙 + headband?
An octopus with a headband is a typical motif represents takoyaki(small flour-ball snack with a piece of octopus leg in it), which is one of the popular local street food in Osaka, Japan. (as well as in Jam's I believe)
Speaking to the headband, it also refers to drunk Japanese salaryman on Friday nights at bars and karaoke box tying their necktie at the head, which is also the inspiration of those octopuses.

最高の瞬間 = ‘Such a good moment’
KANPAI(乾杯) = ‘Cheers’ 🍻
