DailyUI #034 - Car Interface
Good' afternoon Dribbblers 👋
This is my #034 #DailyUI design.
Design Hint 💻 – Design a car interface. Consider the elements you'd want and need in your own dashboard. Be creative, yet logical.
The Idea 💡 - The idea for today’s UI design is a hybrid/electric car navigation/multimedia screen (the screen located in the centre of a vehicle). The screen will feature a hierarchical navigation, with a home menu being the uppermost navigational screen. There will be many features including 'navigation', 'vehicle', 'radio', 'phone' and 'settings' screens, all with their own sub-features located within. The design will occupy a blue-shade gradient colour palette to link in with the hybrid/electric car aesthetic, followed by an overall simplistic and minimalistic layout.
Final Thoughts 🧠 – I love it! The minimalistic layout of the home screen (TOP LEFT) just looks and feels so right; the list of features to the left of the screen makes for an easy to glance at and use global navigation, followed by the large digital clock and the accompanying weather system to the right making for a easy to glance at set of everyday information. The navigation screen (BOTTOM RIGHT) also looks and feels just as good as its home screen, with an extensive set of information regarding a set trip (including a destination mileage, estimated arrival, travel disruptions and navigational settings) and a large satellite map for easy recognition of road layouts, followed by a 'zoom' bar for easy use of positive/negative satellite map zooming. Both screens follow a blue-shaded colour palette linking in with the car's hybrid/electric nature, even going as far as the satellite map colour. The faintly 'dotted' background also gives the overall design a neat and subtle sense of sophistication. Overall, it's been an epic day of designing and I adore the simplistic/minimalistic nature of my car multimedia interface I have designed today. Really proud!
