just *start*
some reallll quick lettering for a talk that I gave last week at github for GGD, hosted by Samihah!
incidentally my talk was about the start of the creative process — how beginning something from scratch (ie. learning a new skill, starting a new career, starting a company, designing a new product, etc) can be a really intimidating process, and the way that I went about this in the bschool -> design transition. I think a large part of it is both internal (impostor syndrome, art/work = vulnerability) and external (seeking to appear put together, perfectionism in the eyes of others (which doesn't lend itself well to the experimental beginning phase)). but it's okay to suck; we're all noobs, in the purest definitional sense. sometimes you just gotta *start*.
