CCC
Logo Design created for a church in Columbus, Indiana. Using three "C's" as a single, concentric circle, it calls to mind qualities and focuses of this church: unity, cooperation, diversity, discipleship, community, and the Holy Trinity.
The three "C's" are both distinguished from one another and yet still linked, forming a mobius strip that displays unique parts of a single entity.
Following this church's desire to breathe life into Old Testament culture, I began researching the "Holy Blue" (Or Tekhelet) color reported to be used by ancient Hebrews, and tracking down the results of the dying techniques most likely used to create it with available materials led me to a bright, vibrant aqua color. I matched the color as closely to the Tekhelet dyes as I could, which ended up being a simple ratio of 5:4 blue to green, resulting in this specific color palette.
