DailyUI #033 - Customize Product

Tenesleling Dribbblers 👋

This is my #033 #DailyUI design.

Design Hint 💻 – Design something related to customizing a product. It could be a custom t-shirt, shoes, etc.

The Idea 💡 - The idea for today’s UI design is a coffee drink customizer app for Android and iOS. The customizer will feature a rotating 'carousel' list for various options (style [right], blend [left], strength [theoretical], froth [theoretical] and extras [theoretical]). The design will feature a two-tone brown colour palette, some simple typography, large iconography and little bits of neurmorphism.

Final Thoughts 🧠 – I like it! It's a mobile coffee customizer for a theoretical high street coffee shop, so the end user can walk in, customize their coffee, pay for it via their mobile and finally savour the taste. The customization part of this app (navigating through the home menu - hence the back button on the 'style' screen) has an overall simple and pleasing UX, with the majority (>90%) of interaction located nearer the bottom of the screen for easy access via finger inputs, along with the simple 'carousel' navigation. The two-tone colour palette really fits the coffee aesthetic well and is also not to overpowering on the eyes since its only those two main colours and they're quite polar-opposite shades. The customization power the end user has via the feature rich options is plenty for a cuppa coffee! The bold iconography is a powerful way of showcasing what option is currently selected and also gives the app more life. The dynamic 'basket' is also a neat feature, allowing the end user to see the overall payment needed to be paid at the end, dynamically change throughout the customization steps through the additions of price. The 'vegetarian' and 'gluten free' icons at the top of the screen give more helpful information to the end user and also adds a touch of extra symmetry to the overall design. Overall, its been an interesting day of designing, trying to figure out where and how to go about placing and designing elements for my UI, but I got there in the end!

As always, I welcome any feedback! 😄
