O
Isn't it insane that in ONE pen you have access to infinite amount of colors! AND textures? I am still digesting that, I've "known" this but experiencing this is something else.
I've been listening to creativepeptalk.com podcast with Andy Pizza... and he is always talking about YOUR 'creative journey' and how this goes along side YOUR 'personal journey' of discovering yourself, or getting in touch with personal things... and how sometimes you have to go and learn and then, you have to go and play again forgetting all the rules.
As a designer I always care so much about 'what problem am I solving', where are the facts and the research, what it is 'smart' (so pretentious, but yeah that's what design is about).... This, school the process, has made me live constantly in my head, so just playing with textures and exploring color has been a nice switch.
This is a close up of a surprise card I am working for a friend, I'll share the end product.
Illustration drawing done in illustrator (not shown here) and color done in procreate. If you have an iPad, I highly recommend checking it out! It is very intuitive, and nice program that lives in between analog and the digital world.
(this would be cute to animate.)
