Umpqua River Lighthouse
#5 in my Oregon lighthouse series. Like many of the other early lighthouses along the Oregon coast, the first light, built at the mouth of the umpqua river in 1855, fell apart due to constant soil erosion. The current lighthouse was built in 1894 and was set a little further inland to prevent the same fate as the earlier lights.
This series is dedicated to my late grandma, who loved lighthouses. The style is inspired by Alex Pasquarella.
