I Fuss A Lot - Doyald Young Study/Tribute [GIF]

Over the holidays, as a warmup/study session, I took one of my favorite Doyald Young pieces and redrew it in vector to analyze how his perfect curves translated to Bézier curves.

I was FLOORED by how easy it was to plot the points correctly on this. It made me realize that a lot of the issues that I run into when vectoring my sketches actually stem from the imperfections in my curves rather than the quirks of vector drawing.

I HIGHLY recommend this exercise. This one was single-stroked, then weighted with the variable width tool.
