Sharepoint 2013 Pilot (QA)

The IT team wanted to make the transition to Sharepoint 2013, which was less than a month old at the time me coming on board. They decided to do a pilot to work out the kinks of migrating large amounts of content to the new system, and chose their QA project as a starting point
Building solid design and content migration plans by moving QA on to the new platform

We believe that Cadence employees will benefit from the upgrade to Sharepoint 2013, but we must do it in a methodical and well thought out process
Since Sharepoint 2013 had just been released at the time of my hiring, there was a lot I needed to understand about the new product offering, so a lot of time was spent on the Microsoft platform watching videos and walking through the new features.
The biggest challenge of this project was that the platform was so new that I didn't have full knowledge of its capabilities and didn't fully understand how best to design for it since there was so little information out there
Relying on the Microsoft consultants and working together as a team, I was able to get my head around the new platform quickly and build out experiences that would be easily scalable across the entire team
