NY: A Gentleman's State

Farm distilleries were a common sight in New York prior to 1920. When Prohibition was enacted banning the "manufacture, transportation, importation, and sale of intoxicating liquors in the United States" many of these distilleries went underground. Pipes running underground of upstate cities transported the liquors from stills to bottling sheds and from there to your local speakeasy until 1933 when the great FDR put an end to Prohibition.

The design is an ode to the distillers of this great state, those who paved the way for and kept the bourbon & whiskey flowing during the Roaring Twenties.
